After a lack of direction yesterday, Wednesday's bunker prices generally made small gains today.

Singapore IFO380 climbed $2.00 to $626.00 per metric tonne (pmt), down $3.00 on the week but with a spread of $18.00 in that time. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) rose $2.00 to $683.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $57.00 pmt, while MGO made its first gain since April 2, 2013, rising $1.50 to $899.50 pmt.

A $10.00 gain for IFO380 in Algeciras was the biggest IFO movement in the EMEA region today, with key port Rotterdam seeing the product gain $2.00 to $597.50 pmt for a change of $-20.00 over the last week. LS380 was steady at $609.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $11.50 pmt. MGO slipped $1.00 to $873.00 pmt, down for a fifth consecutive market day and now just $11.50 higher than the nine month low of $861.50 pmt.

Fujairah IFO380 was up $2.50 to $629.00 pmt having now made gains all this week, and is up $5.50 in that time. MGO was down $3.00 to $1009.50 pmt.

Prices in the Americas mostly followed the global trend of small upward movements, although IFO380 in Los Angeles / Long Beach made a double-digit gain for the second day, today up $15.00 to $647.00 pmt.

Houston IFO380 rose $3.00 to $606.50 pmt for a change of $14.00 over the last week. LS380 was up $4.00 to $685.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $78.50 pmt, while MGO rose $4.50 to $993.00 pmt, but the product is still down $18.50 over the last month.
