Dan-Bunkering Serves Arrest Warrant on PDZ Vessel Over Bunkers

Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte Ltd (Dan-Bunkering) has served a warrant of arrest on PDZ Holdings Bhd's (PDZ's) vessel PDZ Mewah in relation to the supply of bunkers, Malaysian media reports.

PDZ is reported to have been served with a writ in admiralty action in rem and an arrest warrant for the vessel on Tuesday.

Today PDZ said the company's board is seeking legal advice in order to defend against the arrest of vessel, as well as any associated claims that may be filed.

The company noted that the vessel arrest is not expected to have a material impact on the company's financial position, or that of its subsidiaries, for financial year ending Dec 31, 2017.

PDZ Mewah is a 698 TEU Feedermax container ship with a market value of $1.72 million, according to VesselsValue.
