New Bunkering Tanker Launched for Norilsk Nickel

Krasnoyarsk Shipyard, subsidiary of Yenisei River Shipping Company (YRSC), has launched a new bunkering tanker built for Norilsk Nickel, Port IAA News reports.

The vessel, which is named Vladimir Matveyev, is said to be currently en route to deployment at the port of Dudinka.

In addition to its tanks, the 1,200 DWT vessel is said to also feature two holds with a 200 barrel capacity for lubricants.

Designed by Vympel, the bunkering tanker is said to comply with requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, and features enhanced protection from oil spills.

Vladimir Matveyev is noted to be ice-classed, and can operate in ice up to 40 cm thick.
