OW Bunker says it has opened a new office in Cartagena, Colombia, its fifth in Latin America.

"With our global network, financial strength and local presence, OW Bunker is well placed to support customers in what is a particularly fragmented and complex bunker market," said Regional Manager Pedro Gómez.

"As an established company within the region with a global benchmark for quality products and services, our experience enables us to work closely with customers as a trusted advisor to deliver competitive fuel solutions that increase operational efficiencies, saving them time and money."

Cartagena, on the northeast coast along the Caribbean Sea, is the nation's most active port, OW Bunker said.

The global company already has offices in Chile, Uruguay, Panama, and Brazil.

"Our expansion into Cartagena further strengthens our services across the Caribbean and the Latin America bunker market as a whole," said Executive Vice President Götz Lehsten.

"We have an experienced team on the ground, with local knowledge and insight, supported by a global infrastructure and network that ensure customers receive the highest quality products and services when and where they need them."

In recent months, OW Bunker has expanded its operations in North America and India, as well as adding new physical supply in West Africa.
