Indonesian police have arrested three men suspected to be part of the group of hijackers who attacked an Indonesian-flagged tanker early this year, IHS Mariitime 360 reports

The three are reportedly part of a larger group of 13 suspects, four of which are already standing trial and six of which have not been caught.

The MT Rehobot had been carrying 1,100 tonnes of diesel worth roughly IDR200 million ($14,000) when it went missing in late January.

The ship was finally found found grounded in Southern Philippines roughly a month later.

Indonesian Marine Police Law Enforcement Chief Frederik Kalalembang said that the crime had one ringleader, with eight men carrying out the attack and another four helping elsewhere.

At the time of the hijacking, it was reported that the attackers had taken 14 crew members hostage before sending them off floating in life rafts to be found three days later.
