The Bomin Group (Bomin) today announced that, in line with the its new regional hub structure, the company's Hamburg office will be responsible for physical operations and infrastructure in the Baltic region, including Rostock.

"Rostock is an important region for our customers, with real demand for a full spectrum of quality products, including MGO to ensure compliance within the Baltic Emissions Control Area," said Jan Christensen, Head of Global Bunker Operations.

"By controlling the operation from our German regional hub in Hamburg, in conjunction with our local physical supply and storage capabilities, we can ensure that our customers receive the highest quality of service standards, maximising operational and cost efficiencies from order through to final delivery."

Bomin says the development reaffirms the company's commitment to providing physical bunkering products and services in the Baltic.

Bomin Deutschland is noted by the group to be operating two "state-of-the-art" bunker barges in the Baltic region, including MT Bergen Troll and MT Lioba, which supply a full range of products, including MGO DMA 0.1 percent, RMG 380 3.5 percent, RMD 80 0.1 percent, and RME 180 3.5 percent.

"The company will cover the ports of Rostock, Lübeck, Travemünde, and Kiel, servicing customers quickly and efficiently in port, and via road, and ensuring continuous supply through its storage infrastructure and barge capacity in the region," said the group.

In December, Bomin announced that, as part of the company's efforts to establish four regional hubs - a move it said would strengthen its services worldwide and position the company to better serve its clients into 2020 - the company is closing its offices in Rio de Janeiro, Tallinn, and Madrid, as well as its physical supply operations in Estonia and Spain.
