LUKOIL Tankers Back to Work after Upgrades
LUKOIL-Bunker LLC (LUKOIL-Bunker) says two tankers, Aginskoye and Bunkerovshchik-5, are back in operation after the completion of maintenance.
Aginskoye, a vessel used in the company's Murmansk, Russia location, which was recently renovated and retrofitted to comply with MARPOL regulations, had its scheduled maintenance carried out at Murmansk, the company said.
Bunkerovshchik-5, a 2,400 tonne capacity tanker that the company acquired in December 2012, began operation in port Saint-Petersburg after modernising and reconstruction work to meet the MARPOL requirements was performed at Kanonersky Shiprepairing Yard in Saint-Petersburg, LUKOIL-Bunker reported last week.
Another bunkering tanker, Desna, is also entering scheduled maintenance after being renovated and retrofitted to meet the regulatory requirements.
LUKOIL-Bunker, a subsidiary of Russian oil company LUKOIL, sells marine fuels at sea and river ports in Russia and Bulgaria.
The company has said it expects to increase bunkering at Murmansk thanks to more vessels sailing on the Northern Sea Route (NSR).
