DNV GL Creates All Embracing Digital Department
Classification society DNV GL has beefed up its digital reach by putting its data-related activities under one roof.
The Digital Solutions organisation will absorb its established digital arm, DNV GL Software, and run the Veracity platfrom, which analyses and organises data.
"To serve our customers in a better way and to stimulate innovation, we are consolidating our digital assets and resources in our new Digital Solutions organization," said Remi Eriksen, DNV GL's president and CEO.
"Building a strong data-driven organization will accelerate the development of new digital services to support our customers," said Elisabeth Heggelund Tørstad, who is to head up the new department DNV GL.
DNV GL was formed from a merger of the two class societies in 2013.
