Tuesday saw global bunker prices continue to fall, Ship & Bunker data showed, but for many ports the reduction in price was small.

In Asia, a $7.00 per metric tonne (pmt) drop for MGO in Busan was the biggest move in the region with most ports seeing $1.00 to $3.00 pmt lower prices for both IFO and distillate.

Singapore IFO380 was down $1.00 to $634.00 pmt for a week-on-week change of $+5.50. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) moved down $8.50 to $715.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $81.00 pmt, and MGO fell $2.50 to $930.50 pmt.

In the EMEA region, Istanbul went against the trend of falling prices in the region with a gain of $10.00 to $649.00 pmt for IFO380 bunkers

Rotterdam IFO380 remained unchanged at $607.50 pmt for a second day, with LS380 falling $3.50 to $634.00 making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $26.50 pmt. MGO fell $6.50 to $908.50 pmt.

Fujairah IFO380 fell $1.00 to $637.50 pmt for a change of $+5.00 on the week. MGO was down $3.00 to $1021.50 pmt in the port, now $15.00 higher month-on-month.

Bunker prices in the Americas made some gains in the South of the continent, while falling prices further North included a double-digit drop for IFO380 in Los Angeles / Long Beach, down $11.50 to $646.00 pmt today.

Houston IFO380 fell for a second day, down $2.00 to $614.00 pmt for a week-on-week change of $+1.50. LS380 was down $4.50 to $696.00 making the premium for the low sulfur product $82.00 pmt, while MGO rose $0.50 to $1012.00 pmt, up just $0.50 on the week.
