Rising mid-week bunker prices turned out to be only temporary relief from a run of big downward movements which started last week, as Ship & Bunker data showed bunker prices in many ports were once again lower on Friday.

The Americas region, particularly South America, saw the biggest fall in prices today with a number of ports making a double-digit drop today.
