Shipping Emissions Abatement and Trading (SEAaT) announced today that Kittiwake Procal has joined the organisation as an Associate Member.

The UK based company designs, manufactures and supplies emissions analysis instrumentation, including the marine-approved PROCAL 2000.

Their in situ continuous emissions monitoring systems aim to ensure regulatory compliance and help maximise operational efficiency.

"SEAaT and its members are keen to encourage and support technology providers who are seeking to furnish the shipping industry with innovative ideas to improve its environmental performance", said SEAaT's Secretary General John Aitken.

“Kittiwake Procal has developed products that are examples of such innovative thinking, so SEAaT is delighted to welcome Kittiwake Procal as Associate Members."

Tony Bowers, UK and European Sales Manager for the 25 year old company said they were delighted to join "such a pro-active environmental group in the marine industry".

Also joining as Associate Members were The Sailors Society.

Founded in 1818, the international charity sustains a network of professionally trained Chaplains and provides welfare support to merchant seafarers around the globe.

Jan Webber, the not-for-profit's Director of Fundraising & Development, said, "Improving our environment has become a daily reality for us all, including our seafarers and the work of SEAaT impacts positively upon the global shipping community as a whole."
