After the brief run of price gains last week, the global trend of downward bunker price movements continued today, with Ship & Bunker data showing most markets with lower prices on Monday.

In East, and South East Asia prices were typically down $1.00 to $3.00 per metric tonne (pmt), with a few ports seeing a larger movement for MGO.

Singapore IFO380 dropped $1.50 to $635.00 pmt for a month-on-month change of $-27.50. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) gained $0.50 to $723.50 widening the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel to $88.50 pmt. MGO moved down $6.00 to $933.00 pmt, a month-on-month change of $-62.00.

Prices in the EMEA region were fairly steady in North and Western Europe, while all grades in the Mediterranean and Black Sea slipped around $3.00 to $6.00 pmt.

Rotterdam IFO380 and LS380 were unchanged today at $607.50 pmt and $637.50 respectively, while MGO fell $2.00 to $915.00 pmt for a month-on-month change of $-89.00.

Fujairah IFO380 was down $0.50 to $638.50 pmt, down $17.50 on the month, while MGO was up $0.50 to $1024.50 pmt for month-on-month gain of $18.50.

A number of ports in the Americas saw some gains today, particularly those in Canada and on the West Coast, but the overall sentiment was still one slightly lower prices in the region.

Houston IFO380 was down $1.00 to $616.00 pmt, $44.50 pmt lower than the price 6 months ago and $38.00 lower than this time last month. LS380 moved down $1.00 to $700.50 making the premium for the ECA compliant fuel $84.50 pmt, and MGO was up $1.50 to $1011.50 pmt.
