A inland bunker tanker, Corina, has caught fire at a Nijverheid berth in IJssel, Netherlands after a short circuit in a diesel generator sparked flames in the engine room, Maritime Herald reports
A marine firefighting team is said to have extinguished the fire within several minutes, and no pollution or injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
The vessel's owner and skipper said that the damage was contained to the engine compartment, and both the tanks and fuel system are noted to have been left unaffected by the incident.
