H-Line Shipping to Ink Partnership Agreement for LNG-Powered Vessel

South Korean-based company H-Line Shipping Co.,Ltd. (H-Line) is working with industry and government partners to design and build a 80,000 DWT liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered bulk carrier, World Maritime News reports.

The effort comes as part of a previously reported government initiative intended to provide support to LNG-powered ships in South Korea.

The vessel development will include H-Line Shipping, KOGAS, POSCO Terminal Co, and Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.

The coalition is slated to sign a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy on December 13.
