More Bunker Vessels Approved for Mass Flow Meter Use in Singapore

This year, five more bunkering vessels have been approved for mass flow meter (MFM) use in Singapore, according to the latest information from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Data correct to August 1, 2017 indicates Sea Swift (3/1/2017), Libra (15/3/2017), Aqua-Terra 7 (14/3/2017), Kai Ei Maru 15 (6/6/2017), and Kai Ei Maru 8 (25/7/2017) all received approval in 2017.
There are now 137 bunkering vessels with approved MFMs in Singapore, of a total 213 licensed vessels.
MFMs have been mandatory for MFO bunkering in Singapore since January 1, 2017, which is the first and currently only port in the world to make the requirement compulsory.
