OW Bunker has launched its third new physical supply operation of 2014, saying Friday in an emailed press release it has commenced bunker supply at the ports of New York and New Jersey.

"The positive customer response to our physical operations in LA and Long Beach confirmed that there is a real demand for high value services in major ports throughout the US region," said Adrian Tolson, General Manager, OW Bunker North America.

"Launching physical distribution services in New York and New Jersey further strengthens our network of physical capabilities across North America, providing customers with adaptable and reliable services from East to West Coasts that help them to manage costs, ensure quality, and improve their operational efficiencies and performance."

"The company will provide customers with a range of products including RMG 380 (HSFO and LSFO), RMK 700, RMK 500 and LSMGO at all berths and anchorages in the area. OW Bunker will extend its relationship with barging company, Westoil Marine Services, which includes the charter of a double-hulled barge and additional barges will also be utilised as required."

In April, OW Bunker started its new supply operation in Los Angeles and Long Beach, while in March it launched a physical distribution operation in Port Kembla, Australia.

In January OW Bunker also expanded its physical supply operations to Houston's BOSTCO terminal.
