Crowley Highlights Progress on Port of Jacksonville LNG Bunker Facility [VIDEO]

Crowley Maritime Corp. (Crowley) today released a video highlighting progress the company, along with Eagle LNG Partners LLC (Eagle LNG), has made on its liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker facility at the Port of Jacksonville.

As Ship & Bunker has reported, the "state-of-the-art" LNG plant is scheduled to be ready to supply LNG bunkers toCrowely vessels by early 2017.

With construction underway, Chart Industries, Inc. (Chart Industries) is expected to deliver two 1 million litre Decinske Giant cryogenic tanks to be used as LNG storage at the facility within the month.

"The start of construction marks a milestone as we continue making progress with our partners, supplier Eagle LNG and Chart Industries, manufacturer of cryogenic storage tanks," said Matt Jackson, vice president of LNG at Crowley.

"LNG will provide a cleaner, efficient fuel source for our industry-leading Commitment Class ships, and our new JAXPORT bunkering terminal will support efficient operations with state-of-the art technology for bunkering operations."
