Royal Vopak N.V. (Vopak) today announced the launch of concurrent bunkering services at Vopak's Sebarok terminal, enabling vessels to receive fuel from bunker barges simultaneously while loading or discharging at the Vopak terminal.

In line with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore's (MPA's) directive to improve port efficiency, the new service eliminates the need for vessels to travel to anchorages for fuel supply, making scheduling of bunkering operations more reliable.

"This new concurrent bunkering service is a continuation of Vopak's strategy to  help unlock logistical value for our customers, enabling seamless, safe and efficient logistics processes in the entire supply chain," said Tan Soo Koong, Managing Director Vopak Terminals Singapore.

The new concurrent bunkering offering, which is the result of the collaboration with BW Pacific, Sinanju Marine Services, and Unicore Fuel, is slated to be expanded to Vopak's other terminals in Singapore.
