Rotterdam Bunker Market Ends Week Soft

Bunker prices in Rotterdam were close to $330 per metric tonne (mt) for 380 CST fuel oil in the early trading session, according to market sources.
While an indication of $328/mt for 380 CST fuel oil was reported in the market earlier, midday levels had moved into the $333-335/mt range for the key bunker fuel grade, according to sources.
Traders said the market was very quiet with cargo pricing soft and the swaps' price showing nearly a double digit discount to spot levels.
The Amsterday-Rotterdam-Antwerp market is the biggest regional hub for bunkers and fuel oil. Bunker fuel, which is sold in smaller parcels, usually trades at around a $3-5/mt premium to fuel oil cargo prices.
