Friday's bunker prices in many ports continued yesterday's trend of sharp drops for all grades, with Ship & Bunker data showing double-digit movements in a number of ports.

In Asia, there was no change for Taiwanese prices due to a second holiday day, while Singapore was one of the few key ports to see gains today. IFO380 climbed $0.50 to $625.50 per metric tonne (pmt), while low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was unchanged at $686.50. MGO moved down $3.50 to $901.00 pmt, putting prices back at their lowest price since July last year.

The EMEA region saw several ports make a double-digit drop today, but benchmark grade IFO380 in Rotterdam made a relatively smaller movement, down $7.00 to $596.50 pmt - the first time prices have been below $600.00 pmt since early January. LS380 fell $6.00 to $608.50, the lowest price in almost four months. MGO made a big movement for a second day, down $14.50 to $886.50 pmt, but the product is still up $2.50 over the last two weeks.

Fujairah IFO380 fell for a fourth day, down $7.50 to $623.50 pmt for the lowest price since last January. MGO was down $5.00 to $1005.50 pmt - the lowest price in the last two months.

There were far more single-digit movements in the Americas compared to Europe, but the sentiment was still definitely one of lower prices across the region.

Houston IFO380 dropped $9.00 to $604.50 pmt, the lowest price since early December. LS380 was down $13.50 to $672.50 to narrow its premium to $68.00 pmt, while MGO slipped $7.50 to $999.50 pmt, a week-on-week change of $-2.50.
